An antique from the Victorian era in original condition, circa 1895. It features approximately 2 carats of round European cut diamonds along with smaller rose cut diamonds. They are set in 14k gold and the top of the piece is “silver-topped” to give it a white appearance. Before the early 1900’s white gold was not used and neither was platinum. Jewelers would top their yellow gold pieces with a layer of silver to give it a white appearance.
